Make a Wish, 2023

"Seonangdang," a shrine that is part of Korean folk beliefs, refers to a cone-shaped pile of stones. People believe that their wishes will come true if they place three stones on the pile of stones as they walk past the shrine. 

My grandmother, who long ago gave birth to four daughters, repeatedly begged Seonangdang to have a son. 

As a result, my grandmother and father had the noblest parent-child bond.
