Beyond the Epigraph "Primordial words"
White clay, engobe and gold leaf
An Epigraph is an ancient inscription on stone, the intent of the text is often to pass on memory. Usually inscriptions are not only characterized by a style of writing but also by particular linguistic registers. I wanted to create an abstract alphabet that is incomprehensible but can have very free interpretation. When looked at from a distance, one observes a series of signs, but when looked at closely, one reads primal words that are part of human instinct.
