From Ammonites to Man, 2023
Raku. Molded with stoneware, decorated with copper oxide and cracked crystalline.
The ammonites of the Madonie Geopark highlight the geological collision between Africa and Europe that occurred millions of years ago where the sea turned into mountains and produced what we now call Sicily.
Thus, Sicily is a crossroads: the result of the interaction between geological forces that have structured the overall shape and geomorphological forces, including man.
Man, on the other hand, arrives in more modern times and with it continues the clash between primitivism and modernity.
