Mixed media. Stoneware, clay powders and rocks.

Collecting is going through places keeping track of them, building memory, reliving it in the things collected, chosen, catalogued. Each element has evocative power, speaks of itself, weaves meanings between past and present. These vases are inspired by cupmarks, rock carvings dug by man for ritual purposes, to be here precious custodians of clay powders and rocks of the Ligurian hinterland, which even before becoming material for my work, are the witnesses of my collecting and collecting.
