Also in the context of the rich program of the elapsed Matres International Festival of Women's Ceramics - PRIMITIVISM 2024, we recall the numerous solo exhibitions and installations held between Cava de' Tirreni, Vietri sul Mare and Pontecagnano Faiano with the National Archaeological MUSEUM of Pontecagnano The Etruscans of the frontier.

This edition of the Festival included Cuba and Iran as guest countries of honor. Unfortunately, due to limited funding, the planned solo exhibition of Cuban artist Teresa Sanchez Bravo could not take place and her presence was also not there.

However, thanks to the presence of SURISDAY REYES MARTÍNEZ Director of the Museo Nacional de la Cerámica Contemporánea Cubana, we have received a work by Sanchez and two works by two other Cuban artists Yordanka Aguilar Dorta and Aurora Rodriguez Couret, who were selected in the Premio Matres competition exhibition.

Nourished was the participation of Iranian women artists to whom an exhibition space was dedicated for the solo exhibitions of some and some of the group. The hope of this initiative is to realize and enhance a cultural and artistic bridge between nations, promoting mutual understanding between different cultures through artistic expression.

The reference to Primitivism, the main theme of the 2024 edition of the Festival, is also present in the proposed solo exhibitions and installations. Below you will find images of the solo exhibitions and references to the individual artists on display.
