Exchanges, 2024
Hand-molded, semirefractory clay, matt crystalline colored engobes. 980° C
With the installation, I intended to investigate and reinterpret clay containers and their significance in primordial and archaic experiences in a contemporary style. I imagined Celtic "Matres" intent on sharing resources in a kind of exchange/ interaction, which becomes collective wealth. Nature and its colors inspired my artifacts made with columbine, also a tribute to a primordial art, which takes us back to the origins of pottery making.
